I would like to share with you some of my favorite homeschool links. Some you may have seen before, but others may be new to you. If you ever find that a link is broken or no longer available, please let me know so that I can update the page.
One of my favorite sites is Homeschool Freebie of the Day. Every weekday, they give away a free resource for homeschooling families (well, for anyone really, they aren't exclusive...). Sometimes the freebies aren't things I would necessarily use, in which case, I don't bother to download them. Most times though, they are WONDERFUL, useful things - books, unit studies, curriculum, audio stories, and so much more! If you subscribe to their weekly newsletter which tells you what will be given away each day of that week, you also get a bonus freebie for the week. Check them out - www.HomeschoolFreebieOfTheDay.com.
While you're there, be sure to check out their other free resource - a free audio download each week. These are old radio shows and educational programs that make wonderful additions to your curriculum. www.HomeschoolRadioShow.com.
Great Books - CHEAP!!
I can't remember the last time I saw books for prices this good! If you're looking for quality books for your library and great literature for your homeschool, this is the first (and probably the last!) place to look. Operated by 2 homeschooling mothers, Homeschool Library Builder offers a HUGE selection of wonderful books for all ages on all subjects at the best prices around. Plus, as a member (which is free!) you can earn book points toward your purchases. A fantastic resource for any homeschooler! The best part ofall, in my opinion, is that most of the books and resources you would need for SDGR unit studies are available on this website for a fraction of the price you will find them anywhere else.www.hslibrarybuilder.com
General Resources for Homeschooling
Homeschool Curriculum and Support - this site has lists of websites and curriculum suppliers all categorized by subject area. They have a Christian emphasis as well.
Homeschool Association - This is a membership site that will give you a WEALTH of information on free resources available to homeschoolers. They have links to free curriculum, free books, free videos, free anything! You could find all this stuff yourself, if you have the time - but for a low annual fee, you can have it all done for you. You can search for resources by age, by subject area, etc. And, your membership with HSA also gets you a membership to the World Public Library - a collection of older books and literature in the public domain, all available to you with a click of your mouse. A wonderful source of reading material, literature studies or study materials.
Keep checking back for more!
