Language Arts Resources
These are some resources that might be helpful to you in your language arts education. These files may be downloaded and used in your home, but may not be sold or used in any publication for sale.
Copywork for Christian Kids
This copywork book is a selection of poetry and quotes from Christian poets and heroes of the faith. Most of this work is copyrighted by someone else, and is available for distribution as long as it is not sold. So, feel free to use it for yourself or pass it along, but please do not incorporate it into anything that is to be sold. I have made the selections into a book, which you can print and bind for your students' use. You may need to reorganize the pages to fit your printer's guidelines.
Ruth Heller Language Arts Books
In the spirit of Charlotte Mason, I believe that Ruth Heller's language arts series is as close as you can come to a "living book" for language arts! I have used these books with my children by reading them aloud and talking about the parts of speech the book was about, and then coming up with games or worksheets that give them practice with that part of speech. I've provided the worksheets I created here for your use with those books.

Spelling
Are you finding spelling to be a bit boring and tedious? Do you have creative learners that just don't process the traditional "study and test" method of learning spelling words? Here's a tool that will help you put some creativity into your spelling practice. If you are interested in my favorite spelling program ever (and I've used several!), see my review of "All About Spelling" in the Information menu under Curriculum Reviews.
